Alrightie, Part #2 is here. I didn't realize how hard it was to make a skin tutorial until I made this, so if this is very confusing, my apologies...... ;__; This picks off right where the eye tutorial stopped, with the same picture, so if you didn't get a chance to catch the first one, you might want to go to [link] because there are some quick basic discussions there of what the Dodge and Burn tools do, for example. The Dodge/Burn are used sparsely in this skin coloring tutorial, but still, if you don't know what they are, you might want to look at the earlier tutorial. This tutorial also assumes you have a basic understanding of Photoshop and what layers are. Again, this is done in Photoshop CS but you can also use Photoshop 5.0-7.0 with the same tools and effects.
Skin isn't too hard to do with a mouse, so this should work okay for mouse-rs out there. The next tutorial, Coloring Hair, may be difficult for you if you don't have a tablet though. It's still doable, but will definitely take longer.
That's all! I hope you find this somewhat helpful. (And is it just me, or did she somehow turn out looking a little like Molly Sims? O_o)

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
