You know, it's odd..........Day is supposed to be this super sexy beast, but for some reason I've never drawn him like that. >D So here's a portrait to do him some justice. Flex those arms, dude! Eh, on a more serious note, this is an image of Day sending a prayer to his Goddess. I experimented with a LOT of new coloring techniques in this one, which is why it turned out looking so different from most of my other pictures--and I think I'm satisfied with the result. (Still not very satisfied with the hair, but I'll work on that later....) This was largely a practice in painting skin tones without the use of dodge and burn, which is something I really should start avoiding, as well as male anatomy. And, you know, I never realized what an amaaaAAAaazing stock photo gallery deviantArt has until I surfed through it trying to find a good reference picture of a male profile. O_O I really need to surf through it again sometime. Anyway, here's the first "real" picture of 2006! Somehow, I think this one might be the best picture I've done yet (in terms of coloring)....Day is very slightly bulkier than I normally picture him, but oh well. There may be things that need fixing up (I'm not sure whether his hands are uplifted or resting on the stone) but you have done a great job of portraying the mixed sadness and regret.
(Looking at pictures of "sexy" males gives me an appreciation for the apprehension with which women must approach pictures of "sexy" women. I like the way you have portrayed Day first of all as a person.)
