This started out as a doodle but then I got carried away. On the left is June Iparis, the 15-year old superintelligent prodigy in Legend. On the right (of course ) is Day, the 15-year old boy who is the Republic of America's most wanted criminal. June is hired to hunt Day down.
Anyway, I think they both might have turned out looking a little bit older than they're supposed to, but.....oh well. I had fun drawing their hair. Mwaha.
Legend (book 1 of a trilogy being published by Penguin) takes place in a dark future, when the United States has split into two warring countries: the western Republic, and the eastern Colonies. It tells the story of a famous teen criminal vs. a 15-yr old girl detective prodigy, and is coming out on Nov. 29 of this year. You'll be able to find it in all bookstores as well as on Amazon, etc. Legend has also been optioned for film by CBS Films and Twilight's production company Temple Hill!

I'm really glad I decided to buy Legend (though my inner fangirl was a teensy bit angry at the end of Champion) I ended up finishing it in one day! On a school day too! The series is one of my favorites, and now its easier to visualize charters! Have I ever mentioned that you are amazing?
Thank you again for a great novel series. I haven't read the two sequels yet, but definitely going to some time soon, as well as any of your subsequent works!
PS. I'd love to write my own novel soon, but my language barrier and writing experience are constant problems. If you don't mind, could you share any useful advice on how to write a good novel? It's okay if you don't want to, by the way. I might be asking a bit much. I'm sorry for any mistakes I could have made in this comment. Curse me and my lacking English skill...
I just finished reading that book for school. LOVED IT!!!! Now I'm so tempted to read the next books!
This drawing is so beautiful!!!
If you're not to busy.
And is it me or does Day kind of look a bit like Inuyasha.....not that I mind...
The drawing is so amazing !
I can't wait until Prodigy comes out
and to find out you are an amazing writer as well as an artist just earned you a billion cool points
can't wait for Prodigy!!!... can you please do the signed book giveaway not on Facebook? i can't have a Facebook.....
Curse my science teacher!!!!!!!
IT WAS SO STRANGE (Good way, of course.)!!!!!
I've never read a book that feels like nothing else but it's self!~ Usually the "air" to a book is similiar to something else I've read before. Sure, the characters reminded me of Leviathan a bit, but it was different. So different I feel like I might die!!!!!!!!!
And my mind made them look younger for a weird reason, but it fits! It so fits!
Oh. I forgot to do my homework. . . at least I don't and didn't have to take a Trial. I would have failed with less than a 674. >
But yea. I've been playing the Facebook game until I got overcovered (Is that a word? I don't think so. . . ) With school work and what not. I can't wait to see what my "mother-country" is like. The Colonies . . . Hmmm.
You're drawing is so pretty by the ways.
Is it just me, or do I see a glint of Blue in Day's eye and a glint of gold in June's?
Thanks for writing such an excellent book!
P.S. I got in trouble for not paying attention in class because I was reading Legend under the table, but it was worth it. I couldn't put it down.
