I was cleaning out my gallery and accidentally deleted something I wanted to stay in there......

Anyway, this piece is probably the most different from everything else in my gallery and doesn't fit in, but I still like it a lot, and remember working really hard on it. I did this in AP art back in high school, based off of the Luis Royo painting "Proclamation." I think our assignment had something to do with doing our own alternative rendition of a pre-existing painting, and I chose the Proclamation picture because it is so powerful and well-done.

I'm not Japanese (am Chinese), but this was done as a rememberance to the World War II internment of Japanese citizens in the U.S. What a dark period of history for America.....

Prismacolors on Black paper, with a hint of color added in Photoshop.

I've never seen the painting, but this piece is certainly very beautiful and moving. I love the detail and care you use in exacting the picture.

such a strong personal ideal behind this, it has so much feeling... and beautifully done, as well!

absolutely incredible, the things people can make, despite being modifications they can become entirely powerful piece in its own right. i see that here, an amazingly well-planned and executed idea.
