Legend's Japanese cover, & BEA in NYCFirst of all, let me explain my love for the Japanese cover of Legend. Legend just came out in Japan, and the cover for its edition is below:
Um. Oh My God. The artist for this cover is the great Tatsuyuki Tanaka-san, the artist behind the Akira anime film. Yes, THAT Akira. And I am so in love. :heart: He even added in the red streak of blood in Day's hair! Mr. Tanaka-san, you are amaaaaaazing. Thank you!
And secondly, the promotion for Prodigy (Legend #2) is officially starting. I'm off to New York City on Sunday to attend BookExpo America, where my publisher Penguin will be giving away the first advance reader copies (ARCs) of Prodigy. I'll also be giving at least one away soon on this blog, so stay tuned if you're interested! And if you're in NYC and/or at BEA, I'll be at two events that involve signings:

A little bit of everythingAck, sorry for my absence--in case you couldn't tell, sometimes I get really sucky about updating things. Anyway. A quick little post about all the things! (There are a ton of updates that I WANT to talk about, btw, but I can't just yet, so I'll just have to stuff my mouth with cotton and wait. :)  )
I just got back last week from the Bologna Book Fair in Italy. Lots of fun. Lots of DELICIOUS FOOD. Lots of awesome foreign publishers. If you live in Europe and have read/liked Legend, I may be coming to a European country near you this fall! More news to come....
Oddly enough, one of the food highlights from Bologna was a homemade Greek yogurt I bought at a tiny food shop in a little local market. OMG. BEST GREEK YOGURT I'VE EVER HAD.
If you saw The Hunger Games this past weekend, maybe a few of you also caught a glimpse of a Legend trailer that showed before the previews! Also, Hunger Games movie. Two thumbs up. Jennifer Lawrence, you are too awesome.

The World Ends With You.(This is going to be a longer and somewhat heavier post than usual, so if you're just in the mood for silly comics and the like, skip on ahead to the end.  =P  But if you're interested, I would like to share these thoughts with you.)
Firstly, "The World Ends With You" is an AMAZING game.  If you haven't had the chance to play it yet, I highly recommend you pick it up, especially if you're planning on playing "Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance" when it launches next month.  I seriously can't express how much I'm looking forward to seeing the "TWEWY" cast again :la:  Especially Joshua.  Ohhh Joshua.  So if you've got some time between now and July 31st, go find a copy of "TWEWY" and... ahem... give it a shot.
(For those of you who have played "TWEWY"... sorry for that XD)

eating me alive since last thursday..!omgsh. the title says it all. last week at co-op i was in the back room of my class room with ravin, darian, and laila. all of a sudden, we all go into a conversation about who we liked. well i accedently told them that i liked this guy in my class named sam (laila already knew but i really didnt want anyone else to know..) i do like him but its just a crush (lol hes a nerd..) but truth be told, ive always kinda like darian and those beautiful eyes of his x)... -but i REALLY screwed up telling them that i liked sam; ONE OF DARIANS GOOD FRIENDS! and since then, darian wont reply to my texts and now im all like "Dx". i have this real bad feeling in my gut now that i cant seem to shake. call me a retard, but im a seriously legit day dreamer. i enjoy forgeting about reality for a while and spacing off into the life i wish i had. most of the tim, my crushes are put into those day dreams. i know im probally over obbssesing over nothing, but i just dont want it to be akward next week. this is

Issues and considerations and special feature!Hello everyone! (Do read till the end... or perhaps skip now to the last feature :aww: )
It has been quite some time since I updated my Journal and quite some time since I updated the feature. The problem is that I have too little time due to my Final Year Project at university and studies and other issues as well and being the Mastermind in a group (and thus the most active Admin) I am unable to:
1. Update the birthday features - there are about 20+ people who's birthday have passed.
2. Look into my "To be critiques" folder - I have too many works to critique already in my group.
3. Write - Seriously, I have been unable to write at all for quite some time and have been unable to complete works I started months ago.
4. Be active in other groups as Admin - which is sad since I don't want to be an inactive admin but am somewhat forced to be one.
5. Look at my notes - I have around 16 unread notes and they are OLD (although 3 are from... well suffice to say an idiot who didn't realize tha

"Legend" movie update from MTV

Whew, I've been in three different time zones in the past 9 days and I am soooo out of it. O__O But BEA in New York was incredibly fun--thank you to everyone who turned out, and hope those who received advance copies of Prodigy (Legend #2) enjoy it! :heart:

I have some super fun news for you guys. Wyck Godfrey (Twilight, Dear John) is the producer on the Legend film, and chatted with MTV about the movie's progress at the MTV Movie Awards. His interview can be seen below at MTV Hollywood Crush!

I mean, it'll be awesome. That's for sure.

... but nothing is better than the one I got from reading Legend so much! I've had it memroized (bad spelling) since the first time I've read it! (No joke. I don't even have to touch the book to re-read it... O.O'')
(God forbid, they better not make a bad movie... But I'm sure that since you have such awesome drawings of the characters that it will be awesome...lol.)

And I see you're watching Legend of Korra :3

I'm so happy for you! I read your book, and I swear, it was better then the HUnger Games! I've been getting all my friends to read it, and it's their fave book too!
You watch legend of korra? I love it! I think June looks a bit like Korra, but I think June is better!
